We arrived at the Olympics

Curvy roads and queasy stomachs

After a stop over in Seattle Friday night and a long, curvy drive on Saturday, we finally made it to Whistler. We checked into the condo (base camp for Norway) and headed straight to Whistler Village, just in time for the awards ceremony. We arrived as Lindsey Vonn received the bronze medal. The place was buzzing with lots of people speaking many different languages. Canadian red everywhere...flags, clothes, hats, banners, etc. People wearing flags and colors from around the globe on hats, shirts and jackets. We were all pretty tired, so headed back to the condo for dinner. First, we made a stop at one of the stores to buy the set of Olympic mascots and Mukmuk (think Olympic Webkinz). More later as we begin to explore the games.

You guys are so lucky to get the whole set of Mukmuk and Sumi and Quatchie. I wish I could get them too. Me and Alana miss you a bunch. Rachel
